Daredevil Prince The Two Princes - Ebook Release!

The Sequel to Daredevil Prince!

Jake Rowan has been in a long-distance relationship with Shinsuke Shiratori for the past year. He's visited Shin in Tokyo, but now Shin is coming to L.A. for the first time.

The two actors fell in love when they played the same role in the English and Japanese versions of the hit anime series I Woke Up in Another Life as a Hellraising Daredevil Prince of a Fairy Kingdom. Their relationship has already weathered a few storms. But the biggest storm may be yet to come.

Jake's dream of making it in Hollywood has driven him for years. But his dream coming true might doom his relationship. When Hollywood success finally comes calling, and it comes down to love or stardom, which will he choose?

I’m happy to announce that Daredevil Prince The Two Princes, the sequel to Daredevil Prince, is now available virtually everywhere (the ebook, that is). :-)

Like the first book in the series, this story is told from Jake’s first person narrative. First person really gives the writer the sense of being in the protagonist’s head nonstop, so it’s a good thing that Jake is likable, lol. In part, the story is my imagined experience of being a good-looking male actor in Hollywood who has faced years of frustration in the actor mill, years of going on auditions and still never quite catching that brass ring of stardom.

Los Angeles is a hard city for non-natives to understand. It’s way spread out, mostly suburban in feel, and largely working and middle class with scattered neighborhoods of wealth and glamor. As someone who grew up in L.A., I tried to present it realistically but also as outsiders might see it. In the story, that would be Shin’s perspective, coming from a different country and culture.

Jake’s dilemma is that he’s been going after his Hollywood dream so hard and for so long that - weirdly enough - he’s almost forgotten why he’s doing it. L.A. attracts many talented people in the creative fields who lose their way for one reason or another. He also wants to be with Shin, who lives in a different country, which is another thing that feels impossible to achieve.

I hope you enjoy this sequel to the original story. The paperback will be available soon and I’ll post about it here when it’s released.

In other news, I’m preparing for Nano 2.0 in November. More to come on that, so please stay tuned. :-)
