A short update for a short month. :-) I’m within a few pages of finishing the final story of Tales of the Queendoms. I’m both relieved to actually be finishing a book and sad that I’m closing the door on the queendoms universe by doing so.
But after eleven years, I really should be moving on. It was at the end of 2013 that I first got the idea of two multicultural male couples living in a female-dominated future civilization in the ruins of Northern California, and of a story that took them through several male rebellions and changes in society that their own maturing as characters helped to bring about.
As a writer, it’s an awesome experience to create a universe in one’s head. The setting feels like a real place to you and the characters feel like your friends, like people you know.
But new horizons beckon. Next month I’ll be editing Tales of the Queendoms for publication, completing the Female Gaze draft, and uploading new cover art for all my self-published books.
I can’t believe it’s the end of February already. The year is going by quickly. I’ll update again soon.
