I am pleased to announce that my m/m romance novel Kaminishi will be published by Dreamspinner Press in February 2011.
Kaminishi is the story of Michael Holden, an American college student who falls asleep at his desk one night while studying for finals - and wakes up in Japan in the 19th century. He is seized by samurais and taken to the castle of the local samurai warlord, Shinjaro Kaminishi.
Lord Shinjaro Kaminishi, the daimyo of a region west of Kyoto, is a handsome and commanding figure who rules strictly but with fairness over his domain. Loyal to the Shogun, he is a true Japanese patriot - one who is more than willing to give his life for his country.
It's 1851... only two years before Commodore Perry and his black ships will arrive to force Japan out of its centuries-long isolation. Michael doesn't know how or why he has traveled back in time to an era when white men were forbidden in Japan. Not only is his life in danger - but even more shockingly - he finds he is sexually attracted to Shinjaro.

Kaminishi will be released in ebook and trade paperback formats sometime in February 2011. At some point in January (I think), I should know the exact release date, and will let you know then. Thanks! ;)
