Kaminishi will be released in ebook and trade paperback formats on February 21, 2011.

The beautiful cover art is by Anne Cain. Her illustration really captures the feel of the story and the appeal of the characters (both men are just gorgeous!). I am a very fortunate author to have had Anne Cain as the artist for my first cover. For more information on Anne's work:

I have many thoughts about being published. It's been a long and interesting road getting here. I'll post some of my thoughts on this later in the week.

Lovely cover~
Just curious, how did you go about finding an artist? Is Anne someone you know or did you have to search for one?
Once again, congrats =D
Thanks! I love it... The publisher, Dreamspinner Press, hired Anne Cain to do the cover. Anne has done a lot of beautiful covers for romance novels, and I was thrilled when I learned she was doing Kaminishi's cover. =D
Exciting! You know what's strange? When I saw the cover art, the bishounen on the left reminded me of a blue-eyed version of Ayato Kamina from Rahxephon:

But there's no mecha in your novel, right? =)
!! :) Never thought of Ayato as a model for my protagonist Michael... Ayato was cute, but for me he was one of those Shinji-type whiny protagonists. I kept watching Rahxephon, hoping he would grow a spine, but it never happened... beautiful music and visuals in that series, though. :)
Maybe I should have thrown a mecha or two into Kaminishi, just to confuse people. =D
